Flights are preceeded by a 20-minute pre-flight briefing.

On the day, the recipient will be given a briefing on the effects of controls and how the
helicopter flies. After that it's up, up and away to explore the local area for general handling
then back to the airfield for low-level flying and hovering. The student handles the controls
and flies the aircraft throughout.
Back on the ground, the student will be presented with a certificate of achievement, signed
by his or her instructor.
